October 29th-
Parents, I want you to know how incredibly proud I am of your students! They have been working so hard and I am seeing improvements in every area! As I was telling your students on Friday how much they are amazing me with their hard work, I literally got goosebumps! I want your students to grow and learn as much as you do! Even small successes make me smile. I came home to brag to my husband about how amazing your students are. My heart swells with pride when I think about their achievements big and small! I am allowing students to make some corrections as needed on work that we are doing. I may have them sit with me and go back over these questions or math problems, I am having them read to me and go back and use strategies to answer comprehension questions. Sometimes speaking things out loud and encouragement as they are doing something is all it takes for improvement. We are continuing to work hard! I am keeping a close eye on grades as I enter them and will be in contact with parents in the next week of students who may be struggling in certain areas.
Halloween is Wednesday! Students are allowed to dress up! We ask that they do not wear mask. Make sure that it is school appropriate. Be mindful that students will still be going out for recess. I suggest that accessories stay at home, so they are not ruined or lost before trick or treating. For the most part Wednesday will be a regular day (as regular as it can be with fairies, princesses, transformers, and superheroes) with some fun mixed in. I plan on providing a small treat for students before dismissal.
